The island of Martha?s Vineyard was the inspiration for this broad and beautiful line of sustainable, recycled and organic fine furniture. Each item is named after a place on the Island.

Martha?s Vineyard Furniture Company (MVF) is committed to creating beautiful, high quality furniture, which is environmentally friendly in the production process as well as the materials used. MVF has aligned itself with industry leaders in environmentally friendly paint, fabric and finishes to complete its furniture. The company is a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) which promotes sustainable practices suppliers, designers, manufacturers and retailers.

The Olive Street Collection brings all of these sustainable principles and practices to a line of beautifully designed and crafted upholstered furniture. Every piece in the Olive Street Collection is domestically made in family run and operated workshops in the USA, using sustainable materials to create furniture that is as beautiful as it is eco-friendly.

MVF wood frames are provided by suppliers who voluntarily adhere to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Furniture springs are made from 50% recycled steel. Olive Street upholstered furniture seat backs and cushions are filled with 100% post-consumer regenerated fibers and cased in 100% cotton.

Wood trim and furniture feet or bases are available in a choice of four environmentally-friendly and healthy water-based, non-toxic, zero VOC stains. VOC?s (volatile organic compounds) are organic compounds which are known to affect the environment and human health. VOCs are numerous and varied, and are of particular concern for indoor environments, where concentrations can be highest. Though VOCs may not be acutely toxic, they may have chronic effects on breathing and can cause other health concerns.

Every fabric in the MVF upholstery assortment is made from 100% natural, renewable fibers, including linen, cotton and recycled fabrics. The entire upholstery selection, comprised of over 70 different solids and patterns, is hand-chosen to ensure the highest standards in quality, durability, sustainability, and of course?.style.
